Melinda from The Londinium Saga

Author @jmleebooks approached me with a clear vision: Melinda, a central figure in The Londinium Saga, needed to embody both power and haunting mysticism. My task was to create an illustration that worked as a striking standalone piece and a faithful reflection of her role in the story.We began with rough sketches to shape her expression, structure, and aura — focusing on mood before detail. A lot of trial and error until we settled on the right features for her. Once approved, we began to refine them and with the help of gradient masks, we layered colors so they highlight her fiery nature. Adding the third eye and spectral figures deepened her supernatural presence.The final illustration portrays Melinda bathed in flame, with an unwavering gaze. Her braids, adorned with white roses, contrast her intensity with a touch of softness, a duality at the heart of her character. The spectral figures around her whisper of her power, while the fire pulls us into her world and feelings.

This license allows the client to use the artwork for non-commercial, personal purposes only.This includes:- Personal social media profiles (non-business use)
- Profile pictures, banners, and wallpapers
- Private collections or displayThe artist retains full copyright and ownership of the artwork and may use it for portfolio and promotional purposes.Not permitted:
-Any commercial use, including branding, monetized content, or publication
-Printing or resale of the artwork
-Editing, modifying, or adapting the artwork
-Use in AI training, machine learning, or generative systems

Standard License
+ 60% of the base price

This license ALLOWS the commissioned artwork to be used for:-Book interiors and promotional materials
-Online use, including social media, websites, and blogsThe artist retains full copyright and may display the artwork for portfolio and self-promotion purposes.The client MAY NOT:
-Resell the artwork as prints, merchandise, or standalone products
-Use the artwork outside the licensed purposes
-Modify the artwork or allow third parties to modify it

Extended License
+ 100% of the base price

Includes all Standard License rights, plus permission to use it as a book cover (digital + printed editions), for publishing use, monetized distribution (selling the artwork in printed and digital formats.)The artist retains full ownership and may use the artwork for portfolio and promotional purposes.You may NOT:
-Modify the artwork or allow third parties to modify it
-Use the artwork for AI training, machine learning, or AI-generated derivatives

Full Rights Transfer
+150% of the base price

Full commercial rights and ownership of the artwork are transferred to the client. The client may use, edit, reproduce, sell, and adapt the artwork without restriction.Mazephoria retains the right to display the artwork for portfolio, social media, and self-promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

General

By commissioning me, you agree to the terms below.
I reserve the right to decline projects that do not fit my style, schedule, or comfort level.

PAYMENT

- Payments are accepted via PayPal or Revolut.
- Full payment is required upfront for projects below 100 USD.
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upfront for projects over 100 USD
- Eye Banners require full payment upfront.
- The remaining balance must be paid before final delivery.

Revisions

Each commission includes:- 3 sketch revisions
- 2 base color revisions
- 1 rendering revisionMajor changes after rendering has started may require additional fees.

Turnaround Time

Estimated turnaround time is between 2–7 days depending on:- communication speed,
- complexity,
- overall project scope.Delays may occur, but you will always be updated if needed.

Usage Rights

Personal use is included by default.
Commercial rights are available for an additional +100% of the base price.
I retain copyright and may display commissioned work in my portfolio or social media unless discussed otherwise.

References

Human-made and self-made references are welcome.
AI-generated references or AI-assisted visual material are not accepted.

Refunds & Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable.
If I cannot complete the commission, a full refund will be issued.
Client cancellations end the project and any completed work may be delivered as-is.

Restrictions

You may not:- claim the artwork as your own,
- heavily alter or resell the artwork,
- use commissioned work commercially without purchasing commercial rights.Credit is appreciated whenever possible.

Who and what is mazephoria

For much of my life, my journey has felt like walking through an intricate maze : a path of twists, dead ends, and hidden truths. I came to realize that this maze wasn’t something to escape, but something to explore. Every turn revealed a deeper part of myself, and in that labyrinth of emotions I found the strength to reshape pain and vulnerability into something extraordinary: my art.I’m Maze, the artist behind Mazephoria. I create dark-fantasy characters that feel alive, haunted, tender, cruel, or soft in the same breath. With over 5 years of experience and clients across the US, UK, Norway, and beyond, I focus on emotional storytelling through color, pose, and light.I believe every character has a soul, every story deserves to be told, and every detail matters. From the glint of determination in a hero’s eyes to the intricate details of their design, my goal is to capture the essence of who they are and breathe life into them on canvas.When you commission me, you’re getting more than an illustration.
